Emily Lee
University of Washington School of Music, Bachelor of Music (Flute)
Emily Lee is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music Performance degree studying with Professor Donna Shin at the University of Washington where she is a performer of UW Wind Ensemble and UW Symphony. As an active performer, she performed with the University of Washington Wind Ensemble in UWWE China tour in 2019. Prior to this, she has performed with the Seattle Symphony in Benaroya Hall under the direction of conductors Ludovic Morlot and David Rahbee.
In 2016, and 2021, Emily participated at the ARIA Internation Summer Music Academy (Springfied, Massachusetts) under the guidance of Bonita Boyd, Lynda Toote, Aaron Goldman, Jonathan Keeble, Molly Barth and Donna Shin. In addition, she has attended to several masterclasses with Evan Pengra Sult, and Juno Lee. Additional studies include private lessons with Zart Dombourian-eby, Karla Flygare and Robin Peery.
In addition to Emily’s performances, she loves teaching. During her China trip, Emily tought masterclasses for Chinese students. She was also a flute specialist at the Providence Classical Christian School and often gave lessons to students ranging from beginners to advance students. Besides her music life, Emily enjoys outdoor hiking.
